My thoughts: Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters Ep 36: Shoom! Go-Buster Li-oh!

Go-Busters Ep 36: Shoom! Go-Buster Li-oh!

Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters is the 36th series in the Toho Tokusatsu series Super Sentai. Featuring a troupe of three Spec-Ops agents, Red, Blue and Yellow Buster work alongside the mysterious Beet Buster and his Buddyroid Stag Buster to defeat Enter and Escape, the two evil minions of the nefarious Messiah, from freeing their master from the dreaded Hyperspace.

My Thoughts: Kamen Rider Wizard Ep 8: A New Magic Stone

By Jmann on October 29, 2012

Ah, another week, another episode of Kamen Rider Wizard! As per usual, this is the beginning of another two-week episode arc. Now that we are eight weeks in, this is where some Rider shows tend to lose a little ground and air a lot of filler while we wait for the reveal of something big (another Rider or powerful form). It seems that Wizard is no exception, as I didn't think this episode was really that great. Needless to say, SPOILERS AHEAD!

My podcast: NTR Radio!

By VZMK2 on October 28, 2012

For the past year, my friends kgods (oldschool and newschool anime and UC Gundam fan) and Timeenforceranubis (moe & military fan ) and me VZMk2 (moe and mecha otaku) have been doing an anime and otaku related podcast. The name is a pun on "NPR Radio" and Netorare, which is the Japanese term for cuckolding. It's just a funny name I thought of.

My Thoughts: Smile Precure! Ep. 35.

By VIR on October 27, 2012

Smile Precure! is the ninth show in the running Magical Girl series Pretty Cure. With a team of five girls fighting to save the world from a Bad End and to protect the Kingdom of Märchenland from destruction, Smile Precure! is a show that is cute and girly yet punching-ly awesome and metal to the nth degree.

With that, the following in this blog post will be my thoughts on episode 35 of Smile Precure! There will be a brief synopsis – spoilers may or may not be present; please read carefully! – and my general feelings towards the episode. A review, if you please.

What Dkun thinks you should check out this season

By Dkun on October 26, 2012

With the summer season coming to a close, it's that time of the year again when a slew of tiny pictures and descriptions of the new and upcoming shows for the next anime season are up. After a relatively bland summer slate, I was actually pretty excited for a number of shows that were coming out this season. Let's take a quick look at a few of the shows that I think are worth checking out this Fall season.

My Thoughts: Kamen Rider Wizard Ep 7: Buying Memories.

By Jmann on October 23, 2012

OH MAN. This is really really late. I mean, I should be doing Episode 8 at this time but I'm lazy. So, without further ado, here are my thoughts on last week's episode!

I totally liked it. The action was solid, the story was well-paced, and we really got to see the reason why some characters acted the way they did. That is my spoiler-free review in a nutshell. I must say that from here on out, there will be SPOILERS MAYBE.

Season of insanity!

By VZMK2 on October 17, 2012

Usually every anime season, anywhere from three to five shows have my interest. This fall, there's no less than SEVEN that I'm watching. Here's my list:

Choujin Sentai Jettooo-xercise!

By SentaiSeiya on October 17, 2012

Choujin Sentai Jetman is quite possibly THE best Super Sentai show. It really had a lot going for it… even its own exercise video. It featured the actress Rika Kishida as Kaorku Rokumeikan (White Swan) doing calisthenics. She is accompanied by the rest of the Jetman team in suit (which probably means they could not afford to pay and/or convince the rest of the actors to be part of the video). Check it out! It is funny seeing the quirky routine to theme song from the series. The video was choreographed by Lucky Ikeda, a big name in Japanese television when it comes to choreography.

My first AMV

By SentaiSeiya on October 16, 2012

Today, while listening to some Japanese music at the gym, I remembered my first and only foray into making an anime music video. I made it during my pre-CDX days and looking back at it, I think it turned out pretty alright. I would definitely make some improvements if I were to make it today. The song is Shallow Sleep by Hyde. Its sad, slow melody and lyrics fit the anime source material well. Saint Seiya TenkaiHen Overture (the Heaven Chapter Overture), is pretty sad in tone. It begins with a broken Pegasus Seiya who is wounded from his battle with Hades.

Kamen Rider Wizard Ep 06: My Thoughts

By Jmann on October 12, 2012

I've been a huge Wizard fan since the first episode. I'm going to start slapping my thoughts on each episode here each week so you can all see just how much of a life I don't have! YAY! I may retroactively add my thoughts on each episode that I've missed, but I probably won't. So we just get to start at Episode 6: For a Beautiful Flower!

Ok, I don't want to spoil anything for people who haven't seen the show yet, so I will refrain from mentioning plot-specific details.

Power Rangers Dubstep

By SentaiSeiya on October 04, 2012

In an interesting piece of viral media marketing, Saban has released a video featuring the Power Rangers getting down to remix of the Power Rangers theme, in the vein of the London-native, dubstep ... It almost makes we want to watch Power Rangers Samurai... almost.
