Juice=Juice -- pronounced "Juice Juice" -- is a Japanese girl group created in 2013. Five of the group's six members were Hello! Project Kenshuusei trainees, the 6th member coming from GREEN FIELDS. The members are Akari Uemura, Sayuki Takagi, Karin Miyamoto, Aina Ōtsuka, Tomoko Nakazawa and Yuka Miyazaki. "さみだれ美女がさみだれる" -- pronounced "Samidare Bijo ga Samidareru" -- is their second single and follows "私が言う前に抱きしめなきゃね," which reached number 25 on the Oricon Weekly Singles Chart. The group recently toured as the opening act for Morning Musume's Concert Tour 2013 and they've previously opened for °C-ute.
"五月雨美女がさ乱れる" (Google translation: "Early summer rain beautiful woman is disturbed") is a frenetic track that opens with a serious blast of blazing horns which are quickly joined by rapid-fire clubland beats, a fiery electric guitar solo and subtle synth loops. While the guitar comes and goes throughout the caffeinated track, the energetic horns play throughout and are as crucial to its mesmerizing sound as the girls' youthful voices. To that end, the girls harmonize beautifully during the uber-infectious chorus and it's easy to see why they're already opening for major acts even though they're only on their second single. I suspect this will be one of spring's biggest hits and that these girls will give AKB48 and their sister groups some serious competition from here on out, especially considering how much this song actually sounds like it could have been an AKB48 track. (This single also includes an instrumental version of the song.) -Michael McCarthy
