Didn’t catch last year’s quaint little anime about a Japanese girl who goes to France to help out in a kindly stranger’s shop? Neither did a lot of people, and yet “Croisee in a Foreign Labyrinth” just dropped the lovely Yune into Nendoroid form.

Yune is available from HobbyLink Japan

The show, which has some excellent scenery porn and manages to be a sweet, touching story, features Yune, a young Japanese girl who finds herself lost in the titular foreign labyrinth - which is to say, a Parisian shopping district. The important thing to know about Yune is this: she virtually redefines adorable.

Let’s check her out!

Here’s her box:

And here she is in the case:

Let’s shake off all that plastic and cardboard and get a proper look at her!

She’s just cute as a button, isn’t she? I genuinely believe half the people who bought her did so just to have a kimono for their favorite characters. I may or may not intend to slap all my favorite nendos in her kimono. Probably will.

You can see just how many pieces Yune has - her arms, from the shoulder to the fingertips, are three pieces; her torso is four. She comes apart in a lot of ways, which is both a blessing and a curse.

The sleeves on her outfit sport a good deal of movement, and the print is lovely, don’t you think?

Here she is from the side. You can see how the port fits into her back. You can also see the tie on the kimono belt in the back; it pops off.

And from the back. Another good look at that kimono sash.

How’s about a closeup of her midsection?

This gives you a better look at the kimono’s print, as well as the sandals.

And a closer look at her lovely face:

Let’s start switching out arms.

She has her arm bent, the kimono sleeve falling straight down.

And the next set of arms and hands:

It’s time for this figure’s big accessory: the parasol!

It tends to sit a little wonky in her hands - kind of low. It wouldn’t protect her from the sun at all. From the right angle, though, it’s lovely.

A look at the parasol from the back:

The parasol is a large accessory; it takes up more than a quarter of the box. It’s worth it, though. I’m psyched to have this in my nendo arsenal of toys.

She also comes with a book:

In the anime, Yune uses the book, “Les Petites Abeilles,” to help her learn French. It’s a book of childrens’ stories.

And for those times when Yune needs to clean the shop, she has a little outfit:

She also has a kneeling pose, which comes with a very sad face:

Let’s see it from the side:

And now for her last face….

She really is a lovely figure. She has a lot of good things going for her: an excellent accessory, off-the-charts cuteness level and a very playable sculpt.

L thinks she’s mighty adorable, in any event. What does Yune think about that?
